8 hour flight was spent mostly sleeping uncomfortably but the two meals provided by Austrian Airlines were really tasty and far exceeded the norm. Peppercorn gravy chicken for dinner and a nice crunchy but hot bread roll with ham and cheese for wake time just before landing.
The Vienna staff were very efficient and with little fuss we had retrieved luggage and Sportube and we were on our way. I stored the tube at the airport for pickup tomorrow when the remainder of the team arrives.
A quick drive in the Mercedes taxi and we were at our hotel a little weary but relieved the main part of the trip was over. Now for some real rest!
Carl Strautins of the Aussie team stopped by to get us up to date on the state of F3J down under as we sank a few local brews in central Vienna.
